The anchorages on Puerto de Palma Nova:
Cala Raco de Sa Fragat
Cala Raco de Sa Fragat is a deep and attractive anchorage to the western side of Cala Figuera. It’s a long sail northwest from the southwestern tip of Mallorca and will lead you to the pass between Punta de Ses Barbines and Islote El Toro. The nearest towns are Santa Ponsa and Port Adriano.
The tiny Punta del Toro peninsula is great for hikers who like to indulge in nature trails. However, there is no provisioning or shops in the vicinity. It is largely an uninhabited place with the next town area only near Port Adriano on the northwest side.
Raco de Sa Fragat is the least visited of the eight anchorages of Puerto de Palma Nova. It’s not as happening as the others and is only used as rest stops by solo travelers and charters on their way to west Mallorca.
Mooring at Cala Raco de Sa Fragat
Anchoring suggestion is 10-15 meters into the rocky seabed. It’s completely open from southwest to northwest, so caution is recommended while sailing and mooring.
Provisioning and Services
No provisioning or marine facilities are available in this isolated anchorage.
