The anchorages on Palma de Mallorca:
Marina Palma Cuarantena
Marina Palma Cuarantena is located just north of Club de Mar. It’s a wide concrete pontoon that has about 70 berths (as of September 2021) for boats of sizes ranging from 12 meters to 60 meters. There’s a floating pontoon that can accommodate smaller vessels too. Similar to Club de Mar, it’s a private marina that is flanked by the famous Palma Cathedral and Bellver Castle.
The marina was refurbished a few years ago, since which it is environmentally friendly. If you care about the environment and are looking for a sustainable anchoring option, head to Marina Palma.
Equipped with the latest anchorage technology and 24/7 surveillance system, it’s one of the safest marinas in the port. It is operated by the IPM Group that also handles Port de Mallorca anchorage and other marinas in the neighboring islands.
Mooring at Marina Palma Cuarantena
The Marina Palma Cuarantena anchorage is prone to mild eastern winds, so caution is recommended especially between October and February. You can anchor at the allotted berth with the anchor light switched on at night. The anchorage suggestion is between four and 7 meters.
You may book a berth via the official website.
Provisioning and Services
It’s a decent provisioning stop with most essentials available right at the marina. It is equipped with the latest technologies such as glitch-free fuel stations and boat delivery of provisions. And if you are not in a mood to sail on a particular day, you can enjoy the marina’s offerings across entertainment, shopping, dining, and leisure activities.
There are car parking spaces in the marina if you plan to stay for long and use the port’s car rental services. You can also hire concierge services at Marina Palma.
You can also hire sailors and professional anchor assistance at the marina in case of any difficulty. Since the Palma port is often busy, these services are in great demand.
