How far in advance should I book a Mallorca yacht charter?

Six to twelve months ahead for July and August, and the earlier the better: the Balearics are one of Europe’s tightest charter markets in peak weeks. There is also a structural reason the good boats go early here: only yachts holding the Spanish charter licence may operate commercially in these waters, so the legal fleet is smaller than the marina full of yachts suggests.
For June, September, and the shoulder months, three to six months usually still gives a real choice, and late deals do appear, but the odds that the right boat, the right crew, and your exact dates line up last-minute are never good.
