Can we visit Ibiza and Formentera from Mallorca?

Yes, and it is one of the best weeks the Mediterranean offers, but it needs to be planned as a real itinerary rather than a side trip. The crossing from Mallorca to Ibiza is roughly 50 nautical miles of open water: a comfortable few hours on a fast motor yacht, a committed passage on a sailing cat. Once across, Formentera’s beaches and Ibiza’s evenings reward the effort completely.

The honest broker version: on a 7-day charter, including Ibiza and Formentera means giving the crossing its due and trimming Mallorca time. Ten days does it justice. We wrote up exactly this decision here: Mallorca to Ibiza: Is It Actually Realistic?

If the answer is yes, the route is proven: our 8-day Balearic Islands itinerary runs Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera in one loop, and we match the yacht’s speed to the plan so the crossing is a highlight rather than a slog.
