Yes. Spain requires a recognized license to drive a jet ski, and Balearic authorities take it seriously, so this is not a formality your captain can wave through. Unlicensed guests can still ride as passengers behind a licensed driver, and license-free toys, seabobs, paddleboards, and inflatables, carry the fun for everyone else.
The good news: this is plannable. Recognized online courses exist that can be completed before your charter, and we have arranged them for clients ahead of Med charters; tell us early and we will point you to one that Spanish authorities accept, or check whether your home boating license already qualifies.
If jet skis are a priority, say so when we shortlist: not every yacht carries them (insurance again), and we will match you with boats that do, crewed by teams who set up ride zones in the quieter calas.
