When are the high and low seasons for a Mallorca yacht charter?

William Mc Nally, yacht charter broker with DMA YachtingWilliam Mc Nally

High season in Mallorca is July and August: the warmest water, the fullest calas, the busiest marinas, and the highest rates of the year. The best boats for those weeks are booked months ahead, and berths in Palma and Ibiza get scarce.

The months most of our clients are happiest with are June and September. You get settled summer weather and warm sea with noticeably lighter crowds, and rates ease off the August peak. May and October are the value windows: mild, quiet, and well priced, with the tradeoff of cooler water and the odd unsettled day. November through April is the off season, when much of the fleet winters or refits.

Unlike some destinations, Mediterranean rates genuinely swing with the calendar, so the same yacht can cost meaningfully less in June or September than in August. If your dates are flexible by even a week or two, tell us; that flexibility often buys a better yacht for the same budget. Full numbers: How Much Does a Mallorca Yacht Charter Cost?
