United’s Newark to Palma Flight Goes Daily in Summer 2027

United Airlines will fly Newark to Palma de Mallorca every day in summer 2027. The airline confirmed on 1 October 2026 that the seasonal route starts on 28 March 2027 with three flights a week, goes daily from late May and runs through October. In 2026 it ran four times a week. It is still the only nonstop between the United States and Mallorca.

What this means for your charter

An American family can leave Newark after work on Friday, land at Palma at 06:15 on Saturday, and be on board in time for lunch. No change in Madrid or London, no night in a hotel. A Saturday-to-Saturday charter from Palma now lines up with the flight on both ends.

From Son Sant Joan airport the marinas are close:

  • Port de Palma and the Club de Mar, about 15 minutes
  • Puerto Portals, about 25 minutes
  • Port Adriano, about 35 minutes
  • Alcudia on the north coast, about an hour

The return leaves Palma at 10:00 and lands in Newark at 13:10 the same day, so the last charter morning is a short one.

What is the 2027 schedule?

Period Flights a week
28 March to late May 2027 3
Late May to October 2027 7 (daily)
Summer 2026, for comparison 4

United flies the route with a Boeing 767-400ER, 231 seats, with lie-flat seats up front. The airline told the Mallorca press the daily service starts on 26 May; its published schedule filing still shows the step up to daily on 21 June, so check the exact date when you book the shoulder weeks. United is also adding Ibiza for 2027, and has said it is studying a Washington to Palma flight.

Our take

Mallorca has been the easy Mediterranean island for Americans to reach for four summers, and this makes it easier. We see it in the questions we get: clients who once asked for the Riviera now ask whether they can do Mallorca and Ibiza in one week. They can. Book the yacht before the flight; peak weeks on the best crewed boats go by February, and a daily flight does not help if the boat is gone.
