Description: With more than three decades spent at sea, Captain Juanmi brings a calm confidence and deep local knowledge to every charter aboard Aura I. His career has been shaped entirely around the Mediterranean, giving him an instinctive understanding of its coastlines, anchorages, and ever-changing conditions. Guests quickly feel they are in experienced hands.

Juanmi began his life on the water in Mallorca and has steadily built a career that spans from dockhand to captain of high-performance and long-range yachts up to 33 metres. Over the years he has commanded a range of respected vessels including Pershing, Tecnomar, Ferretti and Azimut yachts, developing a particular expertise in precision manoeuvring, yacht systems, and the smooth day-to-day running of private and charter yachts.

Safety and guest comfort are always his priorities. Holding a Master 1600GT license along with advanced maritime certifications, Juanmi runs a well-organised and relaxed onboard environment where everything simply works as it should.

For charter guests, his experience translates into something simple but valuable: effortless cruising. Whether guiding the yacht into a secluded anchorage, planning the day’s route around weather and sea conditions, or recommending the perfect bay for a long lunch and swim, Juanmi ensures each day unfolds smoothly.

Away from the helm, he remains passionate about the sea in all forms and is a certified PADI diver, often happy to share insights about the underwater world and the hidden corners of the Balearics.

Fluent in Spanish, English and Italian, Juanmi is naturally welcoming with international guests and enjoys creating a relaxed atmosphere on board. His long experience, quiet professionalism and love for the Mediterranean make him a trusted captain for exploring the islands in comfort.

Description: Hailing from Lleida in Spain, Cook Micaela brings 27 years of experience in the yachting and hospitality industry to AURA I. Her passion lies in creating relaxed dining experiences that celebrate fresh Mediterranean ingredients and spectacular sea views. Guests can expect warm, attentive service and beautifully flavoured dishes that reflect her deep knowledge of Spanish cuisine.
What Micaela enjoys most about working on yachts is being able to offer guests home cooked food while they enjoy the unique perspectives of the Balearics from the water. One of her favourite places to take guests is Sa Foradada, near Deià on Mallorca’s west coast, where dramatic rock formations and a timeless landscape provide an unforgettable setting for a long, leisurely lunch at anchor.
Micaela particularly loves cooking paella, a dish she has refined over many years and which has become a highlight for many guests. Whether it is a relaxed family lunch on the aft deck or an elegant dinner under the stars, she tailors each menu to guests’ tastes and preferences.
