We start or finish most of our Ibiza weeks in Ibiza Town, and it’s the right call for one reason: the superyacht marinas sit directly beneath Dalt Vila, the walled old town, so your best evening ashore of the whole week is a 5-minute walk from the passerelle.
One thing we tell every client coming from Mallorca: this is a real crossing, not a hop. On a motor yacht it’s a few comfortable hours. On a sailing yacht or catamaran it can eat a full day, which is why we put most Mallorca-plus-Ibiza combinations on motor yachts in the first place.
Mooring and marina notes
Marina Ibiza and Ibiza Magna take the largest yachts closest to the old town, and in July and August their berths are among the most wanted in the Mediterranean. We arrange them well in advance; this is not a port where anyone improvises a Saturday berth in season. Our honest take: skip the berth. We often anchor our clients off Talamanca, the bay around the headland, and run them in by tender. Calmer nights, a swim before breakfast, and a fraction of the cost.
What’s around the port
Climb Dalt Vila’s ramparts before dinner; the whole bay opens up below you. The Marina Botafoch side holds the restaurant and club scene, and Talamanca beach fills a slow morning. The beach clubs and calas we rate on the southwest coast are all within an easy cruising day.
Fitting Ibiza Town into your week
