The anchorages on Palma de Mallorca:
Real Club Nautico
Real Club Nautico de Palma (often abbreviated as RCNP) is a huge marina with a boat capacity of 850 and more. It can accommodate vessels ranging in size from eight to 20 meters. Getting a berth is easiest in this marina, thanks to its wide area and friendly administration.
RCNP is a usual rest stop for many recognized yacht clubs of Spain and France. If you wish to hobnob with likeminded travelers and boat sailing aficionados, this is the marina to be in.
Mooring at Real Club Nautico
There is an arrival quay that you can find as you enter the marina, and choose to anchor anywhere near the pontoon. Although RCNP does not mandate you to stick to a berth, it’s best to moor near the swimming pool or the launderette for easy movement to the town and markets.
Much like Marina Port de Mallorca, this anchorage is also prone to crosswind and wash from other moving vessels. Caution is recommended during daytime, and you have to switch on the anchor light at night.
This is typically not a busy anchorage but expect some movement in daytime due to its location.
You may book a berth via the official RCNP website.
Provisioning and Services
The usual provisioning like electricity, water, cube ice, and fuel station exists in the clubhouse at affordable rates. It also has a gym, library, and some very good restaurants and bars.
Although the club has a Wi-Fi network, we were not satisfied with its coverage or connectivity. You are better off using a prepaid broadband connection for the duration of your stay.
If you are into sightseeing, you may enjoy the quick walk to the Palma cathedral, great for an evening excursion.
Staff and overall management are friendlier than in other anchorages.
