The South of Mallorca is where most charters start and finish – specifically in the Bay of Palma.
The area is well protected by dominant Northerly weather – storms get stuck on the Tramuntana mountains. It can rain in Valdemossa but Sa Rapita has wonderful summer weather.
The South location also allows pleasant navigation in the shoulder season.
Palma Bay is where most Mallorca charters begin. Palma de Mallorca is the boarding hub, Puerto Portals the glamorous berth just west of it, with Puerto de Palma Nova and Port Calanova filling in the bay between them. From here the fleet fans out west toward Andratx or south toward Es Trenc and Cabrera.
