Cala Ratjada holds down Mallorca’s northeast corner: a real working fishing port with a lively little town behind it, and the stop that connects the island’s north and east coasts on any full loop. Our 7-day clockwise route runs Pollensa to Cala Ratjada to Cala d’Or, and this is the night in between.
It has one more card to play: this is the closest point of Mallorca to Menorca. When we build a 2-island week, Cala Ratjada is where the crossing to Ciutadella starts.
Mooring and marina notes
The harbor is compact and keeps its fishing-fleet character; visiting berths exist but are limited, so on busy weeks we anchor off the nearby beaches instead, which is no hardship here. Your captain will time the corner around the coast’s exposure: this tip of the island feels the north wind first, and the harbor is the safe card when it blows.
What’s around the port
Cala Agulla, one of the east’s best natural beaches, sits just around the headland, pine-backed and undeveloped. The town itself stays pleasantly real: seafood restaurants on the harbor, a lighthouse walk above it, and none of the resort gloss of the bays further south.
